Women's Basketball

Baylon Middleton, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Freshman, G - Iuka, Miss., 20)

Baylon Middleton tied the modern day program record with six made three-pointers during Northeast's big home win over Blue Mountain on Tuesday evening. Her record coincided with her first career 20-point performance at the college level. Middleton completed a perfect week for the Lady Tigers with a game-high 16 points in a thrilling win at Lawson State. For the week, Middleton averaged 18 points and 5 rebounds per game.

 

Men's Basketball

Duran Parish, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, G - Biloxi, 2)

Duran Parish, a sophomore point guard from Biloxi, flirted with averaging a triple-double during a 3-0 week for Mississippi Gulf Coast. He averaged 24.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists, including a 28-point, 11-rebound, nine-assist in a 101-64 win over the University of Mobile JV. He also had 26 points in a 101-68 win over East Central and 18 in a 79-76 win against Delgado. Parish leads all MACCC in scoring at 24.2 ppg.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis.
